Psychotherapy

Exploring our past and present can bring up a whirlwind of emotions that deeply impact our well-being. Perhaps, you're looking to make sense of your life, looking to unpack past experiences and trauma or struggling to feel grounded and confident in your abilities.  During these times, having a safe and supportive space is crucial for processing emotions and experiences while rewiring the nervous system. Holistic and embodied therapy can help you cultivate and practice acceptance, release, self-compassion, and self-determination, ultimately allowing you to feel lighter and aligned with the person you truly are and aspire to be.

As a licensed clinical social worker and certified yoga teacher, I bring a comprehensive and specialized approach to my practice at Embodied Lotus Wellness. I draw from a range of trauma-informed frameworks, including intersectional, psychodynamic, attachment, relational, cognitive behavioral therapy, systems, and mind-body approaches. I assist clients in exploring deeply ingrained beliefs, experiences, and current life stressors hindering their desired personal growth.

Together we will work to build empowerment, self-compassion, and wholeness. Together, we will delve deep into your experiences and beliefs, paving the way for personal growth and thriving. I am here to support you on this transformative journey.

I currently provide virtual support to individuals residing in Illinois, and my client base includes people from different. While the majority of my clients are adults aged 18 and older, I do offer support to children and adolescents on a case-by-case basis.

For parents and caregivers, this means that I meet your child where they are at. By utilizing the frameworks mentioned above and incorporating play therapy, I create a secure and trusting environment where your child can confidently express themselves and work through their challenges. I also partner and support you as their caregiver.

In this moment, the most important thing is that you gave yourself permission to seek support and resources.

Out of Network Reimbursement
My private practice can provide out-of-network paperwork for your insurance company to reimburse you for "out-of-network mental health services," if provided by your insurance company. When speaking to your insurance company, ask them:

1. Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
2. If yes — What’s my deductible and how much of it has been met?
3. What’s my copay, or what percentage of the counselor’s fee is covered by my plan?

Note that as of January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act enables uninsured patients to receive a good faith estimate of the cost of care.
